The agreement between you and Monryte SRL for using NoBuyBox — written to be read, not skimmed past.
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and MONRYTE S.R.L., a Romanian limited liability company with its registered office at Str. Baia nr. 10, Sector 1, 013496 București, Romania, Trade Register no. J2026032634002, fiscal code (CUI) 54716131, VAT no. RO54953006 (“Monryte”, “we”, “us”). They apply to the NoBuyBox mobile app, NoBuyBox Pro and the Buddy and Wishlist web pages (together, the “Service”). By downloading or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. If you use NoBuyBox on iPhone or iPad, the section “App Store and Google Play” below also applies.
NoBuyBox helps you delay impulse purchases. You “box” something you are tempted to buy, a timer lets the urge cool off, and afterwards you decide whether to buy it, let it go or keep it sealed. When you let something go, the app counts that amount as money kept and shows it against your goals.
The core app is free and has no ads. NoBuyBox Pro is an optional paid upgrade. NoBuyBox never moves money, never connects to your bank and never buys anything for you.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account, and old enough to make purchases in your country (or have a parent’s or guardian’s permission) to buy Pro. You must be able to enter into a binding contract and not be barred from using the Service under applicable law.
You can use NoBuyBox without an account. An optional account (Sign in with Apple, Google, or an email link) lets you back up your data, move it to a new phone and use Buddy and Wishlist. Please keep access to your email and sign-in method secure — anyone who can sign in as you can see your backup. Tell us at nobuybox@monryte.com if you think your account has been misused. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Me → Account → Delete account).
Pro is offered as:
Prices. The price, currency, billing period and any trial are shown in the app and by the store before you confirm. Prices may vary by country and include the taxes the store applies. Reference prices on our website are indicative only.
Billing. Purchases are made through and charged by Google Play or the Apple App Store, to the payment method in your store account, under the store’s terms.
Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Free trial. If you start a free trial, you will be charged the subscription price when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. The app reminds you 2 days before the trial ends. Trials are limited to one per eligible user, as the store determines.
Cancelling. You manage and cancel subscriptions in the store, not in NoBuyBox: on Android in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions; on iPhone in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; Pro remains active until the end of the period already paid. Deleting the app or your NoBuyBox account does not cancel a subscription.
Lifetime. A Lifetime purchase gives you Pro for as long as we offer NoBuyBox Pro, with no renewals. It is tied to your store account and can be restored on devices using the same Apple ID or Google account.
Family Sharing. On the App Store, the Yearly and Lifetime plans can be shared with up to five family members through Apple Family Sharing; the Monthly plan cannot. Google Play does not offer family sharing for NoBuyBox Pro.
Price changes. If a subscription price changes, the store will inform you in advance and, where required, ask for your consent. You can cancel before the new price applies.
Restoring. Use “Restore purchases” in the app to recover Pro on a new device with the same store account.
Because payments are processed by Google Play and the App Store, refunds are handled by them under their refund policies: request a refund from Google Play or at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds for store purchases ourselves, but if something went wrong, write to us and we will help. This does not affect your statutory rights.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you generally have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason. Pro is digital content and a digital service that we make available immediately after purchase.
Pro currently includes: Strict Lock + Buddy unlock (a strict box can’t be opened early unless your buddy approves), No-Buy Challenges, Return reminders, My rules, Treat allowance, Payday buffer, Gift budget, Insights, unlimited goals and Box Studio shapes and materials. Return reminders are a convenience only: the seller’s return policy and deadline always apply, and we are not responsible for a missed return window. Features we describe as “coming soon” are not part of Pro until they launch, and we do not promise a launch date. Some features may depend on your device, operating system or permissions.
We keep improving NoBuyBox and may change features. We will not make changes that reduce the main Pro features you have paid for during a paid period without a valid reason (such as legal, security or technical necessity); if a change negatively affects your access to Pro in more than a minor way, we will tell you in advance and, as a consumer, you may end the contract and receive a proportionate refund for the unused period.
If Pro ends, everything free keeps working: strict boxes stay strict until their timers end, extra goals become read-only, the box style returns to the default, and nothing is deleted.
You agree not to: use the Service in breach of the law or others’ rights; try to access other users’ data or our systems without permission; interfere with, overload or disrupt the Service; copy, modify, or reverse engineer the app except as allowed by law; circumvent purchase or feature restrictions; or use automated means to access the Service beyond normal app use.
What you add to NoBuyBox — item names, notes, links, photos, goals — belongs to you. You give us a limited permission to store, copy and transmit it only as needed to run the Service for you (for example to keep your backup, to show a box name to your buddy when you send a request, or to show your wishlist to the people you share it with). You are responsible for what you add and send.
The Service, including its software, design, the NoBuyBox name and logo, texts and illustrations, belongs to Monryte or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, in line with these Terms and the rules of the store you got it from. Open-source components are licensed under their own licences.
NoBuyBox is a tool for building better spending habits. It is not financial, investment, legal or psychological advice. “Money kept” is an estimate based on what you enter; it is not a bank balance and nothing is moved or saved for you. We cannot guarantee that you will save money or reach a goal — the decisions are yours. If you are struggling with debt or compulsive buying, please consider speaking to a qualified professional.
We provide the Service with reasonable care and skill. Your statutory rights as a consumer, including the legal guarantee that digital content and services conform to the contract, are not affected by these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability where the law does not allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, intent or gross negligence, or under mandatory consumer protection law.
Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law: we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, for purchases you make or choose not to make, for your buddy’s decisions, for what third-party shops linked from a wishlist do, or for loss of data you chose not to back up. Where we are liable for a slight breach of an essential obligation, our liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract and, in total, to the amount you paid us for Pro in the 12 months before the event.
You can stop using NoBuyBox at any time and delete your account in the app. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, or if required by law, giving notice when we reasonably can. If we end the Service or your access without you being at fault, we will refund the unused part of any prepaid Pro period (for Lifetime, a fair proportion), in addition to anything the store refunds.
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service or the law. We will tell you about significant changes in the app or by email before they take effect. If you do not agree, you can stop using the Service and cancel your subscription before the changes apply; for a paid period already started, the Terms in force at purchase continue to apply until its end, unless the change is required by law.
These Terms are governed by Romanian law. If you are a consumer living in another country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts; otherwise the competent courts of Romania have jurisdiction.
If you have a complaint, please contact us first at nobuybox@monryte.com — most problems are solved quickly. Consumers in Romania can also contact the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC, anpc.ro), including its alternative dispute resolution service (SAL). Consumers in other EU countries can get free help from the European Consumer Centres Network. The EU Online Dispute Resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr) was discontinued by the EU on 20 July 2025 and is therefore no longer available.
iPhone and iPad. If you downloaded NoBuyBox from the Apple App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Standard EULA”) also applies; where it conflicts with these Terms, the terms more favourable to you apply to the extent permitted. You acknowledge that: these Terms are between you and Monryte, not Apple; Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app; if the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, which may refund the purchase price, and Apple has no other warranty obligation to the extent permitted by law; Monryte, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app (including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance and consumer protection claims) and for investigating and defending any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights; you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties; and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
Android. If you downloaded NoBuyBox from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also govern your use of Google Play and purchases made through it.
If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the rest remains in force. Not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer ours to a successor that continues the Service, without reducing your rights. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us about the Service. They are available in English and Romanian; both versions are equally valid.
